Shipping is absolutely free to all U.S. locations on every purchase that you make from this gallery.
Do you ship internationally?
No, not at this time. We are only able to ship to addresses in the United States.
Do I need to register or open an account with Artsy Shark Gallery to purchase artwork on this site?
You can register with the gallery, or you can make a purchase and check out as a “guest” if you wish. There are no costs involved with registering an account.
How do I search for and purchase art at Artsy Shark Gallery?
Visit our Home page for Categories such as landscapes, abstracts, etc. and click on the links to open the categories. Or, click on our Artists page, and view the gallery pages for each individual artist. You can also enter a term into the search function.
What is the “WALL PREVIEW” feature? How do I use it?
On any “product page” you can click Wall Preview and view the artwork displayed on a wall. Change the wall color, or change the room. This helps you get an idea of the scale of the work and the impact it makes in the space. Use the Wall Preview tool to visualize the art in your own home or office.
Will the artwork look the same as the online version?
The artwork will look better in person than it does online due to several factors:
Will the artwork be framed when I receive it?
Most of the artwork on Artsy Shark Gallery ships unframed. If a piece of art is framed, it will be pictured with the frame and will include a description of the frame and the dimensions of the framed artwork in the “Full Description and Specifications” section on the artwork page.
When will a piece of artwork ship once I purchase it?
When ordered, artwork will be shipped within seven (7) days from the date of purchase, unless specifically noted in the “Full Description and Specifications” section on the artwork page for that item. You will receive an email with a tracking number after your purchase ships, so that you will know when your package will arrive.
How do you ship artwork?
All artwork is packaged in sturdy packaging to insure safe delivery, whether it comes rolled up in a shipping tube or flat in a box. Artwork is shipped directly from the artist and is sent through a trackable, insured shipper. All artwork is shipped fully insured for its declared value. Please note, a signature is required for delivery unless you request that your art be delivered without a signature. In these cases, you assume responsibility for the art after it has been delivered.
What should I do if I receive a damaged piece of artwork?
Artwork is packaged very carefully to insure safe delivery, which makes receiving damaged merchandise a rare occurrence. If you do receive a damaged piece of art, contact us within three (3) days at email@example.com or call 1-410-977-2915. You must save the box and all of the packaging material; we must have these items in order to process the claim.
Artsy Shark Gallery works directly with the shipping carrier to file a claim. When you contact us, please include your order number and photographs of the damaged artwork and packaging. We need these images to file the claim and process the refund.
What is Artsy Shark Gallery’s free return policy?
Once your artwork is delivered, you will have seven (7) days to return it. This gives you time to see the artwork in your home or office to make sure that you are pleased with the purchase. If you are not satisfied with it, or it doesn’t meet your expectations, contact us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. We will then issue you a prepaid return shipping label (up to which you can affix to the box (see “How do I return a piece of artwork?” below) and ship from any FedEx location within seven (7) days of receiving the prepaid shipping label.
How do I return a piece of artwork?
When you first receive your artwork, please save all the packaging material it came in. You must use the original packaging to return the art. Repackage the art in its original box the way it was originally packaged; then contact us by emailing email@example.com. We will issue you a prepaid return shipping label which you can affix to the box and drop off at any FedEx location within seven (7) days of the receipt of the shipping label.
Once we have received the artwork, we will issue you a full refund on the purchase price of the artwork.
Please make sure you repackage the art in its original packaging for return. Art that is returned damaged will not be refunded.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Artsy Shark Gallery accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Diners Club cards. Retail sales tax will be applied on orders shipped to addresses in Florida only.

What does “limited edition” and “open edition” mean?
Works of art that are reproduced from the original may be printed in a limited edition, which is a predetermined limited quantity. Open edition reproductions are not limited in quantity.
What is a “giclee?”
The term "giclee print" connotes an elevation in printmaking technology. Images are generated from high resolution digital scans and printed with archival quality inks onto various substrates including canvas, fine art, and photo-base paper. The giclee printing process provides better color accuracy than other means of reproduction.
What is a “Certificate of Authenticity?”
Unless otherwise stated, all artwork sold through Artsy Shark Gallery is shipped with a Certificate of Authenticity. This document is signed by the artist and contains details about the work, such as medium, dimension, the date it was purchased and the number of the print if it is a limited edition. If you do not receive a Certificate of Authenticity with your package, please contact us at email@example.com.
Does Artsy Shark Gallery accept artist submissions?
No, Artsy Shark Gallery does not solicit or accept submissions from artists directly. Representation by this online gallery is strictly invitational; artists have been selected from the hundreds of artists who have been featured at our sister site Artsy Shark. That website issues a Call for Artists several times per year. During those submission periods, artists are invited to apply for the purpose of being featured and promoted. Learn more about that process here, and become a subscriber if you wish to receive email notification of the next Call for Artists.
Who holds the copyright to the artwork once I purchase it?
The artist retains the copyright to their imagery. Copyright law states that copyright does not transfer to art buyers. You will need to get permission from the artist in order to reproduce the imagery.
This presence of this badge signifies that this business has officially registered with the Art Storefronts Organization and has an established track record of selling art.
